Greetings Friends,

In response to unprecedented advance ticket sales, we are happy to announce that Faerieworlds has sold out Secret House and will now take place at Mount Pisgah in the beautiful Buford Park Recreation Area, just outside of Eugene, OR. The events dates remain the same, July 31st, through August 2nd.

With over a month from opening the gates to the Realm, our ticket sales had already exceeded the capacity at Secret House. In an effort to provide the best possible experience for our guests, we moved quickly to secure this much larger site that can accommodate what is sure to be record-breaking attendance. This year more than ever, Faerieworlds is the place to be for people and families who love, music, crafts, art, and faeries: this is the Faerieworlds experience that our guests and vendors have been asking for!

With the move to Mount Pisgah, Faerieworlds can now comfortably host camping and parking for thousands of guests, as well as provide a beautiful, tree lined field for the Faerieworlds vending village and performance stages. With these exceptional assets and it’s location so convenient to downtown Eugene, we see Mount Pisgah as the home of Faerieworlds for many years to come.

Here are just some of the amazing features of the new site:

- only 10 minutes from downtown Eugene
- just minutes from Exit 189 on Interstate 5
- Acres of shaded picnic areas and walkways
- 15 miles of hiking trails
- Campgrounds and parking for thousands of guests
- RV camping welcome – for the first time at Faerieworlds!
- Five developed community campfire circles onsite
- Designated night-time drum circle areas
- Family only and quiet camping areas
- Main stage until midnight
- Acoustic music & story circles all night!

Lane County is working closely with the Faerieworlds team to prepare the site. As an environmental agency, they are our ideal event partner and are pleased that our festival will help support the Parks financially. This year, we are proud to announce the Mount Pisgah Arboretum as the beneficiary of our 2009 donation.

Faerieworlds has enjoyed four years of exceptional hospitality at Secret House and we are grateful for the support of owner Patti Chappel for helping make Faerieworlds a success. Patti will continue to be a valued member of the Faerieworlds team at our new venue.

The realm of Faerie has traditionally been deeply connected with the spirit of nature. With its’ 2300 acres of beautiful forested hills, river access for swimming, and over 15 miles of hiking trails, Mt. Pisgah offers the Faerieworlds community the opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of the natural world, while experiencing the magical world of art, crafts and music that is the essence and heart of Faerieworlds.

Please visit www.faerieworlds.com for more details!

Come be a part of Faerieworlds history!
See you soon in the Realm at Mount Pisgah,

Robert, Emilio & Kelly

This is wonderful news! I see from the vendor page (I peeked even though I'm not a vendor) that ticket sales are at 250% of 2008's sales already. Clearly the new site is necessary and it's so good to hear that Lane County is working with Faerieworlds to make the event a success. I was going to take a trip down to Secret House to check out where camping might be, but that's not needed now.

While I bought a Faerieworlds Experience pass, I'm wondering about folks who have already made arrangements to stay at Quiet Camp in Veneta, which will be about 45 minutes away from the new location. I hope folks with RVs will be able to make new plans since they'll be allowed at Mount Pisgah.

Secret House was a great location and the first place I attended Faerieworlds. It will always be special to many of us, I'm sure.

I'm not entirely unsurprised at the announcement because when I checked out the Secret House website a few days ago there was nothing about events for the summer, including Faerieworlds, plus the sale of the winery was being announced.

I hope the new location works out well for everyone. One nice thing is that it'll be closer to I-5 for people traveling to camp and it'll be more convenient for those staying in hotels in the Eugene area.

I've updated my Squidoo lens for the Faerieworlds Festival at www.squidoo.com/faerieworlds to reflect the announcement.

The new site does look beautiful and it's great that there will be all sorts of space available...but...some of us made our plans in advance. I've already got a campsite booked at Richardson. How far is that from the new venue? If it's too far away I might want to cancel Richardson (and lose a little money) to camp onsite instead, but I already purchased the weekend pass *without* camping. Is there a way to just add onsite camping to the pass I've already purchased?

This'll teach me to plan ahead!

        Redcap,
We have the same situation, reserved our site in Richardson the first day it was open. Mt. Pisgah is about 20 miles away from Richardson but it is through town almost all the way unless you loop all the way up and around Eugene to the north, figure about 45 minutes of driving time.

I filled out the link to upgrade to onsite from the FW website and got a response to my comment but so far no information on upgrading, any ETA on that info Kelly or Emilio? We need a family spot by the way. Thanks.
