vehicle and tent camping areas are separate, but not separated by too much space...i would suggest setting up hang-out -ville at comfy camp regardless of whether or not you are sleeping in an RV...it's really all very close by anyway....

the parking lot is very nearby the camping really, just across from it :) lots closer than it would have been at secret house, and no way are cars allowed in the camping area...just too risky... :) also we want to have the smallest impact possible on the environment there, so beyond the obvious safety reasons, cars won't be allowed to drive all over the land and will be restricted always to the parking lots :) showers are exactly as stated in the post above :) and yes going at off -times (not first thing in the a.m.) should make it less of a wait...also the lovely thing about a river nearby is showering can often be less of a desperate situation :) there will be lots of port o' potties right by the campground (but not in it, just on the edge of it) as well as a big row of potties over at the actual grounds where the fest itself takes place....potties are always right near access roads so trucks can reach them for servicing, and locating them thusly makes regular servicing easy and we all know that's a very good thing! off to bed for me... :)

Over in the Circle of Merry Folk tribe, I asked about facilities. The reply was there will be six showers available 24 hours a day (hint: choose odd times to shower to avoid lines), and there will be plenty of portapotties cleaned regularly. With over a 250% increase in ticket sales (according to the vendor page), I certainly hope there will be way more than last year. Before the change was announced, we were told we'd have to carry our stuff from the parking area to our camping site. I don't know if that's changed, but one thing that has changed is that RVs can be accommodated, so either there's a separate area for them or perhaps cars can be at the campsites. Previously we were told campsites were 10' x 10' but that may have changed. It would have to change if cars are allowed at sites because 10' x 10' simply isn't enough space for a tent and a car.We'll have to await word on that, it seems. I'm figuring on carrying stuff in. The only thing I'm really sure of is about the RVs being allowed. We should be getting word on all this soon, I hope. In the meantime, it's a good idea to be flexible.

we've been wondering a few things, everyone has, about the new site and how it will shape our experience. maybe we could use this thread as a FAQ so that everyone's questions get answered more or less in the same place so maybe we don't have to all ask them individually :) so, add your general questions to the thread and hopefully we'll all benefit from a centralized Q&A and the friendly FW staff might only have to answer these questions 100 times each instead of 30,000 times :) so to start off: 1) will we be able to drive our cars to the campsites and leave them there for the duration of the fest or will parking be in a separate area from camping? 2) what sort of facilities (showers, bathrooms, etc) will campers have access to.
